Alex Hemphill is new to Gooseneck Implement, stepping into the role of General Manager at the Harvey location just a month ago. While he’s new to the company, Alex has been around agriculture his whole life and has always had a connection to farmers—he even spent some time working on a turkey farm with a friend! Originally from North Carolina, he moved to North Dakota eight years ago and has spent his career in regional territory roles within the automotive and heavy truck industries. Today, he brings that experience to Gooseneck, focused on supporting his team and providing an exceptional customer experience.

For Alex, Genuine Passion means delivering a great customer experience in every interaction. Whether a customer stops in for parts or just to visit, he wants their experience at the Harvey location to be positive and memorable. Genuine Gratitude has already made an impression in his first few weeks: in his first staff meeting, he asked employees to nominate colleagues who make an impact, and the team overwhelmingly recognized a road technician. Just a week later, a customer called specifically to praise that same technician, showing gratitude from all aspects of the business.

Though new to the role, Alex has quickly become proud of the team’s commitment to community. The Harvey store recently participated in a local high school tailgating event to raise money for the booster club, and they even helped drive the band in the homecoming parade. Alex and his son also enjoy spending time around town, embracing the small-town atmosphere and the strong community involvement that makes Harvey special.

What Alex enjoys most about working with Gooseneck customers is getting to know them and building meaningful relationships. He looks forward to helping the sales team find solutions that truly support the farmers’ operations while being a trusted partner in their success.

Something people might be surprised to learn about Alex? At 6’11”, he jokes that you can’t really tell over virtual conference calls just how tall he really is—though it’s hard to miss in person! Even with his impressive height, he’s just as down-to-earth when it comes to work and relationships. When asked what he would do if he weren’t in the agriculture equipment world, Alex is clear: this is exactly where he wants to be. “It’s been the Ag community and the quality of people that brought me here, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”
