Store Spotlight: Minot, ND

In 1998, Gooseneck Implement expanded its legacy by welcoming Minot, ND as its second store, adding another chapter to the Gooseneck story. Fast forward to today, Minot stands as a beacon of success, distinguished by its dedicated team spanning sales, parts, and service departments.

Minot’s journey is a testament to relentless pursuit of excellence. It proudly boasts the largest sales volume and headcount within the Gooseneck footprint, with exceptional employees as the driving force behind its success. Throughout the journey, maintaining exceptional customer service has been key to the Minot location’s success.

To meet customer preferences and needs, Minot prioritizes a sense of urgency across all departments. The store operates at a fast pace to eliminate customer downtime, often providing on-site assistance within 24 hours of a breakdown. This commitment to customer satisfaction has solidified Minot’s reputation for reliability but attributed to strong relationships, the dedication of employees, and the pivotal role played by the service department in retaining valued customers.

Noteworthy individuals, like Tige Engelhard, and Kyle Comerford, a 2022 John Deere Top Technician, exemplify the caliber of talent cultivated at the Minot location. Shawn Danielson’s transformation from a garbage truck driver to one of Gooseneck’s top technicians further underscores the store’s commitment to promoting excellence. The experience and dedication of long-term team members, like Milo Sveet, Bill Morman, Kenny Gubrud, and KB Faul, have been instrumental in continuing to shape Minot’s success, positive atmosphere, and culture.

Andrew Keller, Service Manager, started at Gooseneck by sweeping the shop, and has always embodied the store’s emphasis on mentorship, winning, and urgency. This commitment to mentorship extends to the entire team, fostering a culture reminiscent of a sports team – fun, practical jokes, and employee outings combined with a shared goal of success for their customers.

In 2023, Minot launched the exciting Find Your Fit Program – a program designed to welcome new talent into the organization, individuals whose cultural alignment with the Gooseneck values was evident, yet uncertain on their career path. The essence of this program lies in providing participants with a holistic understanding of the business. Over the course of a year, the individuals immerse themselves in various departments, from parts and sales to service and support, learning the intricacies of each role. The ultimate goal? To mold well-rounded employees who comprehend the entirety of operations and can seamlessly integrate into any facet of the company.

The inaugural program in 2023 exceeded all expectations! Two individuals, initially uncertain about their preferred roles, emerged not only as dedicated full-time employees but also embraced positions different from their initial aspirations. These young, talented individuals, now members of our team, have traversed the entire spectrum of the Minot store – from the front counter to the back shop.

Minot General Manager, KB Faul, and Assistant General Manager, Heather Drader, are genuinely enthusiastic about the positive outcomes from the program. It not only serves as a valuable opportunity to enrich the strength of the team, but also addresses the tactical day-to-day needs with a new perspective. The potential growth and adaptability that lies within our organization with this success story paves the way for a vibrant and dynamic future.

The consistent growth since 1998 makes Minot a symbol of resilience within the Gooseneck footprint. Every moment at Minot adds a new chapter to the evolving history of Gooseneck Implement. Join us in celebrating Minot – where dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence define our legacy.
