Big Iron, Smarter Tech & More Power: John Deere’s Highlights from Commodity Classic

Commodity Classic delivered once again—and John Deere showed up in a big way. From high-capacity air carts to next-level automation and more operator-focused tractor upgrades, here’s a look at what stood out most.

New C1100T Air Cart: Built for Capacity & Efficiency
John Deere expanded the C Series lineup with the new C1100T Air Cart, built for operators who want more acres between fills without giving up precision. With 1,100 bushels of total capacity, proven EzCal and AccuRate™ technology, and features like the heavy-duty EZLift system and extended high-capacity conveyor, the C1100T is designed to speed up fills and keep you moving. A new 105-bushel Flex Tank and multiple tank configurations add even more flexibility to match your operation. More capacity. Less downtime. Smarter performance.

All-New 8R & 8RX Lineup: More Power. More Control. More Capability.
John Deere unveiled the new 8R and 8RX 440, 490, and 540, built to deliver serious horsepower with smarter control. Powered by the JD14 engine and EVT transmission, these tractors feature Intelligent Power Management for up to 40 extra horsepower, increased lift capacity up to 24,000lbs, and available hitch downforce for consistent performance in the field. New offboard power options bring even more versatility to high-demand implements. Inside the cab, upgraded CommandX™ controls, push-button start, a convenience display, and wireless phone charging elevate the operator experience.

New Planter Technology
John Deere also introduced a new dual-product fertilizer system, giving operators more flexibility and accuracy in nutrient application. More official details are expected soon, but it’s clear planter technology continues moving toward greater efficiency and adaptability in-field.

2027 Combine Updates: Smarter Automation & Bigger Capacity
John Deere continues to raise the bar in harvest efficiency with new combine updates focused on throughput and automation. A new XL grain tank option boosts capacity up to 550 bushels, paired with larger unloading components to keep grain moving. Enhanced Predictive Ground Speed Automation now adjusts for weeds, green crop, and elevation changes—helping maintain consistent performance across the field. Additional upgrades like Tru-Thresh™ concaves, a new power folding ladder, expanded automation for T Series combines, and factory-installed JDLink™ Boost further streamline harvest.

New 1 Series Sub-Compact Tractors: Comfort Meets Convenience
John Deere upgraded the 1E, 1M, and 1R Series with features designed to elevate comfort and convenience. A new factory-installed HVAC cab delivers true year-round comfort, while the redesigned one-piece hood improves service access and airflow. The new 6-port Single-Point Hydraulic Connector simplifies loader hookup with a cleaner, one-step connection.

The Big Picture
From high-capacity planting equipment to smarter harvesting automation and more powerful tractors, John Deere’s announcements at Commodity Classic focused on one clear goal: helping producers do more—efficiently, comfortably, and with greater precision.
