Bowman Store Spotlight

Nestled in southwestern North Dakota, Bowman is a standout location within the Gooseneck Implement footprint, known for its experienced, long-tenured team and strong community focus. What truly makes Bowman special is its dedicated team, dynamic customer relationships, and a culture of service that permeates every aspect of the business.

The Bowman location boasts a wealth of experience, with long-standing employees who have been pillars of the store’s success. Alvin Hawn, a name synonymous with customer service, has been with Gooseneck Implement for an astounding 47 years. Starting as a mechanic and working his way through various roles, Alvin is the embodiment of what it means to build relationships and take pride in one's work. Even as he nears the end of his sales career, his legacy will undoubtedly leave a lasting mark on both customers and staff.

Similarly, Duane Hill, with nearly 30 years of experience in parts management, and service technicians Brett Ballard and Shaun Bonomo, each with over a decade under their belts, exemplify the kind of dedication that keeps customers coming back year after year. Their longevity not only ensures continuity for customers but also sets a high standard for younger team members, helping to shape the next generation of employees in Bowman.

What makes Bowman’s customer base unique is its diversity. Serving parts of North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana, Bowman’s territory covers a wide range of needs, from farming to ranching. In Montana, where the terrain favors ranching, Bowman’s team has built deep connections with customers who trust them to understand their specific challenges. These customers are not just clients; they are neighbors and friends, reflecting the close-knit, family-oriented nature of Bowman’s community.

In Bowman, customer service isn’t just a department—it’s a philosophy. Whether it’s a combine breaking down during harvest or an urgent repair needed in a remote area with no cell service, the team is always ready to step up. This dedication was best exemplified last spring when the store faced a critical air seeder issue just before customers were set to hit the fields. Despite the timing and the challenges, the team worked late into the night to ensure everything was resolved, proving that no obstacle is too great when it comes to getting the job done.

Bowman’s success is not just due to its hardworking team but also its strong connection to the local community. From the T4 conference, which brings diversity and education to the next generation of agricultural leaders, to supporting local causes like 4H, Lions Club events, and more, Bowman is deeply invested in the well-being of its area. The team is equally committed to supporting each other, with a culture that celebrates successes, birthdays, and milestones—whether it’s a simple treat or breakfast.

Top technicians like Hank Brooks, who has been recognized for two years in the Gooseneck Top Tech Program for his excellence, continue to raise the bar for customer service. The fact that customers go out of their way to have Hank service their equipment speaks volumes about the quality of work being done at the store.

With a new facility set to open in Bowman in 2025, the future looks bright. This expansion will only strengthen the store’s ability to serve its diverse and growing customer base, while also giving the team more room to innovate and collaborate.

As Bowman continues to grow, it remains committed to the core values: genuine passion and genuine gratitude. The unique combination of experience, service, and connection is what truly makes Bowman a wonderful location within the Gooseneck family.
