Meet Duane!
Regional Sales Manager, Region 2
Duane O’Marro came to Gooseneck 10 years ago, looking for a new opportunity and career path. He began in Williston as a Lawn and Garden Technician, later became Service Manager, and then took on the role of General Manager in Harvey. Today, he serves as Regional Sales Manager for Region 2, overseeing the Kenmare, Minot, Mohall, Velva, Rugby, and Harvey locations. In this role, he supports the teams, drives sales, and helps ensure customers across the region receive the best possible experience. His career path is a true example of growth within Gooseneck and how many directions a career in this industry can take.
For him, Genuine Passion means going above and beyond—driving to find results and solutions for customers, taking pride in the work, and not stopping until the right solution is found. He sees Genuine Gratitude show up in many ways, especially when teams work together to solve challenges. Sometimes it’s expressed with words, and other times it’s simply the feeling of being “one team” focused on a common goal. He also sees it in the constant appreciation employees show for each other and the sacrifices made to keep customers running.
One thing he’s most proud of is the resiliency of the teams he’s worked with. During his time on previous teams, he’s seen employees stay focused on moving forward, adapting to changes, and finding ways to improve, no matter the challenges.
When it comes to customers, he enjoys their genuine passion and gratitude for agriculture and for Gooseneck. Helping them be successful in their operations is rewarding, and he appreciates the down-to-earth, kind, and hardworking nature they bring. “A lot of them have an extreme passion for agriculture, and it’s fun to see that and find ways to partner with them in that space,” he shares.
Something people might be surprised to learn is just how much his career has evolved. From his start as a technician to his leadership role today, he has taken significant steps forward, growing into new opportunities at each stage of his journey. And if he weren’t in the agriculture equipment world? He says he’d simply embrace whatever opportunity came his way. “If it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.”
